During hospi- talization, she developed persistent ascites and respiratory distress. The 24 hours urine protein analysis revealed significant proteinuria and renal biopsy showed global and seg- mental sclerosis in glomeruli, mesangial arteritis, proliferations in visceral epithelial cells (IgA nephropathy).
